Pop-rockers The 1975 will return to Arena Birmingham in the new year as part of a national tour, right next door to City Nites

The out-the-box band will play a single date at the venue, where they thrilled the crowd in January. This time round they will visit on Tuesday February 25, 2020, middway through a tour of the UK before a final date in Dublin. The Brum gig falls four days after the scheduled release date for their fourth album – Notes on a Conditional Form’.

Known for their innovative synth-laden take on ’80s pop rock, The 1975 released their new album A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships last year and to celebrate, the Mancunian quartet are heading out on a UK tour.

The band will be joined by rising stars Pale Waves and newcomer No Rome on all dates.

Following the release of their first EP, Facedown, in 2012, the quartet built up a huge following before releasing their self-titled debut album the following year.

The band’s second album, I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It, came out in 2016 and yielded a trio of hits with Love Me, The Sound and Somebody Else.

A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships will be the band’s third album. They’ve already released the singles Give Yourself a Try, Love It If We Made It and TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME.
