Birmingham Heritage Week is back offering a host of hidden places for you to explore. Discover parts of the city you may never have seen before or to see popular places from a whole new perspective.
You can visit Birmingham’s original chocolate factory, a convent, an Italian Baroque style oratory and the home of Lord of the Rings author JRR Tolkien.
There are hard hat tours of Brum’s former Canal Offices, which look like they could have come straight off the set of Peaky Blinders and the chance to see all WW1 Bilberry Hill Gun Proof Range sites in the Lickey Hills, which are not normally open to the public.
More than 200 events feature over 11 days from September 12 to 22. These include exhibitions and walks to open days and workshops. Most of the events are free although booking is essential for many.
